Emmanuel (Manny) Savignano
Tunkhannock Assembly of God

Manny and Rose, his wife of 55 years, attend the Tunkhannock Assembly of God since moving there in 1980. Manny retired from Procter and Gamble after 32 years of service. Five children and eleven grandchildren help to keep them active and somewhat up to date on todays technology. While Manny’s greatest love is spending time with his grandchildren, he also enjoys walking his dog, fishing, supporting the senior members of his church and reading. Manny joined the board of Rock Solid Academy in January of 2013 and is in awe of the faith and groundwork of the founding members and the progress made to date. Only God knows the impact the students of RSA will have on the future.

Dr. Kelly Shaw

New Life Community Church

Kelly and her husband feel it a blessing to be RSA parents since the school opened in 2012.  Their son, Jonathan will be in the graduating class of 2018 and their daughter, Megan, is expected to graduate in 2025.  Rock Solid Academy has provided both of them with a high quality education and a positive moral and spiritual environment.

Kelly grew up in Wilkes-Barre, PA and graduated from Misericordia University and Temple University with a Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy.  She has worked in numerous nursing homes in the area.  However, she has found her true calling is home health Physical Therapy. Providing care one-on-one in a patient's home is more rewarding than anything she ever experienced in facilities.

In addition, it allows her to spend more time with her family and enables her time to volunteer.

She has volunteered for many activities at Rock Solid Academy, chairing the Fall Festival during the first year.  She assists with the annual auction, helps in the classroom and on field trips.  She has written several grants.  One helped start the high school program and another provided an AED device at the school.  She loves working with the professional and faith-filled faculty and staff, and finds joy in knowing that her children are regularly influenced and led by them.
