Greetings,

We are in our fifth year at Rock Solid Academy and we have just launched an All Things New Campaign.  “And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.”  Revelation 21:5.  Rock Solid Academy is moving into a new season of growth and opportunities.  A major reason for this is that we have finally found a permanent home that we can call our own in July of 2017! The location will be High Point Baptist Church, Larksville, which is less than 5 miles from our current location. This move provides us with many new opportunities to further the academic, spiritual, and athletic growth of our RSA students. We will have access to a beautiful sanctuary that will be utilized for chapel services, theater class and plays, and other special events.  We will also have access to land that will provide ample space for sporting fields, nature walks, ecosystem studies, outdoor pavilions, a basketball court, and many other possibilities!  We have the option of purchasing this land for the future construction of a gymnasium and school building.  We are also in a new position of financial stability.  This is due to positive changes, including the move, and because of the generous support of committed families and donors from the community.  Our reports indicate that over $110,000 was spent on financial aid this past year with over 57% of our students receiving this aid. With your help, this school can continue to serve students and families and continue changing lives.

Rock Solid Academy partners with parents to provide students with a superior education consistent with Christian principles.  Students are provided with a vibrant Christ-centered environment that empowers them to discover their passions and to develop their unique gifts and abilities while growing in wisdom, knowledge, leadership, faith, and service.

Currently, there are 7 teachers, 1 paraeducator, 4 specials teachers and nearly 15 volunteers serving almost 75 students from Kindergarten-12th grade.  All of our teachers are highly qualified, state certified, and 80% possess a Master’s degree.  We have established partnerships with local colleges including Wilkes University, Misericordia University, LCCC, Bloomsburg University, and King’s College.  These partnerships enable our students to participate in on-campus programs designed exclusively for our school.  We are also provided with pre-service and student teacher volunteers to work with our students (enrichment and remedial services) and to assist the teacher in the classroom.  We are committed in everything we do to help students succeed academically, athletically (offering competitive and intramural sports programs), and artistically; to develop leadership skills; and to grow into a mature relationship with Jesus Christ.

With our small student body, the school alone is not able to produce the necessary funds to maintain the ministry of providing a superior education consistent with Christian principles.

We ask that you prayerfully consider continuing to be a part of this great ministry the Lord has established.  There are 3 easy ways you can be a part of our ministry:

1. Please pray for our campaign and the students and faculty of Rock Solid Academy.

2. Give generously. Our goal is to raise $100,000 needed for our school to sustain itself for the current school year.

3. Share our needs with others, and spread the good news about Rock Solid Academy!

Also, if you would like to visit our school, we encourage you to schedule a visit by contacting us at president@rocksolidacademy.org, 570-696-LION(5466), or find us on Facebook.  We would personally love to share our vision and commitment to excellence with you!

Blessings,
